Dr. Brittany Yee is a dual-trained physician specializing in internal medicine and dermatology. She completed her MD at the University of California, San Diego and served as the Chief Resident at UC San Diego Dermatology. Dr. Yee has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Therapeutics, Dermatology Online Journal, and many other journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, among others.

Dr. Ashley Steffens is a dermatologist board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University, where she also completed her residency. Dr. Steffens practices medical dermatology for all ages in Peoria, Illinois. She has a special interest in treating hair loss, psoriasis, and skin cancer. 

Dr. Mary Wu Chang, M.D., is a dual-trained physician who is board certified in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. She has published extensively in journals such as JAMA, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, and Dermatology Online Journal. Dr. Chang is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She is active in the dermatology residency training program and the clinical trials unit, and lectures nationally and internationally.

Dr. Shimona Garg is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetologist with an MBBS and MD from the University of Punjab. She has been published in various journals, including the International Journal of Trichology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, and Pigment International. Dr. Garg currently practices in several clinics and hospitals in Chandigarh. She also provides teledermatology services. 

Dr. Ame Phitwong is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who has worked entirely in the field of dermatology. She obtained her BSN from the University of Portland, MSN from Seattle Pacific University, and DNP from the University of Miami. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Dr. Phitwong currently practices at PeaceHealth Dermatology. She has been published in the Journal of Transcultural Nursing and Nursing Education Perspectives.

Siddhi Camila Lama is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer who holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, M.Sc. in Organ, Tissue, and Cellular Transplantation, and B.Sc. in Human Development. Her writing has been published by Orb Media, BrainFacts, Atlas Obscura, Live Science, and several other outlets. Her research has been published in the Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, Virology Journal, Cell Stem Cell, Cell Metabolism, and more. Siddhi is also the founder of Palavras Deslumbrantes, a Portuguese science communications start-up.

Kassem Kris Sifeldeen is a medical doctor and science writer based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He currently works as an Infection Control Practitioner with Alberta Health Services. Dr. Sifeldeen obtained his B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta in 2015 and his MBBS from St. George’s University of London in 2020. His work has been published in Future Cardiology.

Gillian May is a former nurse turned freelance writer. She has extensive experience in administration, frontline care,  education in mental health, public health, and geriatrics. She is passionate about health promotion and education. She funnels her expertise into her writing in order to provide valuable content that is entertaining and educational. Gillian is also a traveler, photographer, gardener, and artist. 

Ann-Marie has been a freelance writer in the health and wellness niche for 7 years. Her writing has been published in PsychCentral, Mental Health Today, HavingTime, Pathways Pain Relief, Somnus Sleep, Impulse Therapy, Mellowed, and more. Ann-Marie is passionate about helping people with her work and enabling them to improve their lives. She has personally experienced hair loss and hair thinning and understands the major impact it can have. When she is not writing, Ann-Marie will likely be hiking with her dogs.

Dr. Jolene Bressi is Doctor of Pharmacy, certified project manager, and writer who has been published in PharmacyTimes.com. She completed her degree at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2003. Dr. Bressi has a diverse practice background with over 20 years experience in community, hospital, industry, and managed care pharmacy practice, working with groups at McNeil Consumer Healthcare, CVS, Rite Aid, and Appriss Health. She personally experienced hair loss after the birth of her only child and understands its mental and physical impact. When she is not writing, she’ll likely be in her garden or watching movies with her son.

Brindusa Vanta is a medical writer and researcher based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. She received her MD degree in Romania in 2001 and her Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Canada in 2006. She focuses on research-based treatments, including nutrition and nutraceuticals. She believes that healthy hair is essential for optimal health and well-being.

Mikha is a nurse who has worked in trauma and pediatrics. Just before the pandemic swept the globe, she decided to go to medical school to pursue a lifelong dream of practicing critical care medicine. She currently lives in the Philippines with her family and two cats, Dante and Maia. When she’s not questioning her life choices while cramming for exams, she’s writing medical articles to pay her way through school and traveling the world on Google Maps.

Chris McElroy is a freelance science writer and former neuroscientist researcher. He graduated with a masters in neuroscience in 2017 from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. He grew up and currently resides in Amarillo, Texas.

Terrisha Buckley has a bachelor of science in biology and 14 years of freelance writing experience. She enjoys writing about medical and health sciences as a way to bridge the gap between medical professionals and the general public.

Sarah Lokenauth is a freelance writer who is passionate about helping others on their hair journey. She enjoys using her work to help others and have a positive impact on the world around her. Maha completed her BSc from the University of Toronto with a specialization in Human Biology. She went on to study scientific writing and is Medical Writer Certified (MWC) by the American Medical Writers Association. Writing and science are both her passions, and she has been creating medical and health-related content for the last five years.

Dr. Cheryl Christ is a nurse practitioner, nurse leader, and educator with a passion for evidence-based practice. Her professional service includes membership on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing. Dr. Christ has also been professionally involved with the American Nurses Association, Ohio Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She enjoys book club discussions, butterfly gardening, yoga, hiking, bicycling, and travel.

Reneé Warren has been writing professionally for over two decades. She is a two-time published author, a marriage life coach, and a doula. She’s passionate about using her writing ability to help people to find healing and wholeness in the area of relationships, self-care, and intimacy.
